Are you interested in quilting? Do you have quilting knowledge to share? Join us for our “Sisters Teaching Sisters” quilting fellowship at DBC which includes an evening of fun, fellowship, devotion and instruction in the art of quilting.

We meet every other Tuesday evening at 6:30PM. All are invited to attend, regardless of their level of expertise. We begin each session with a short devotional. This is a tremendous opportunity for intermediate and skilled quilters to share their love of the art with ladies who are just getting started.

The Purpose of this program is to minister to each other in a secret sort of way. Being a secret sister is a chance to be an anonymous “giver” of prayer, support, love and even gifts (optional) to a special receiver. You will need to fill out a Secret Sister Profile form to participate. You’ll need to be alert as to what is happening in the life of your Secret Sister, pray for her regularly, and try to communicate encouragement to her for spiritual growth. Be creative in how you communicate with her—use others to find out about her—be clever in bringing to her the things she needs in prayer & daily life. This ministry is for members and regular attendees only.

This ministry renews every quarter, and your “secret sister” is revealed to you at the end of each quarter. Sometimes we have a “revealing party”, other times when it is not convenient we reveal individually or through email.

Be on the lookout for the next session to begin. Profile forms are usually available at least two weeks in advance of a quarter ending. Information will always be posted in the bulletins.

…is designed to be a monthly gathering of the women of this church and any invited from the community. It is to help women feel connected by helping to create new friendships and to strengthen existing ones. Our goal is to offer a non-threatening, safe place for the unsaved woman to explore the joy and laughter that Jesus Christ can bring to her life through female relationships and eventually realizing her need for Christ.

When?

Once a month in various settings; i.e. members’ homes, church facility, etc. The day and time will be set by the hostess for the evening & the sort of evening that is happening in any given month.

What?

We may watch a movie, go bowling, play games, do a craft, have a friendship dinner or BBQ or just gather in someone’s home for fun, food & fellowship.

Why?

To show Christ’s love in a practical way by offering women of the community and surrounding areas an evening together with other ladies.
